Havana, SANA- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez confirmed that the United States is directly involved in destabilizing the country.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez confirmed that the United States was directly involved in destabilizing and organizing the demonstrations that his country witnessed last Sunday.

Rodriguez said during a press conference held in the capital, Havana: “The mercenaries funded by the United States caused riots last Sunday through a media strategy camouflaged by a campaign on social media calling for providing humanitarian aid to the country.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel stressed in a televised speech the day before yesterday that the demonstrations in some regions are an attempt to create chaos and instability in the country, stressing that those who support the unrest in Cuba do not want the welfare of the people, but the privatization of health and education and the application of neo-liberalism.

“We will not allow any counter-revolutionary person who receives money from American agencies to cause instability in the country,” Cannell said, considering that inciting this kind of chaos in the exceptional circumstances of the Corona epidemic is an act of greed and unjustified.

Cannell pointed out that the government has every will to dialogue about the real causes of the situation facing the country, calling on the Cubans to take to the streets to confront the attempts supported by the United States to destabilize the country.

Cuba has been subjected to an unjust economic embargo imposed by the United States for nearly 60 years due to its policies rejecting the attempts of American exclusivity and hegemony.
