South Africa: Chaos in the Cape

Further serious riots in South Africa: Looters set this shopping center in Pietermaritzburg on fire. Armed streets blocked the port city of Durban, and looters also destroyed shopping centers here. The violence continues to spread. In addition to the provinces of Kwazulu-Natal and Gauteng with Johannesburg and the capital Pretoria, it also reached the provinces of Mpumalanga and North Cape overnight. According to police, there were more than 70 dead by Tuesday evening and more than 1200 people were arrested.
