Culture for children was on the program on Sunday at the Freising Summer Wonder.

However, in the end only half of the children had reason to be happy.

The group “Luz Amoi” set the fairy tale “Hans im Glück” by the Brothers Grimm to music for the Freising children.

Two appearances in the district court garden were planned, but only the first of the two sold out performances could take place.

The second literally fell into the water: ten minutes before the start of the concert, the performers and the incoming spectators were surprised by downpours and thunder.

A replacement date is expected to take place in early autumn.

With “Hans im Glück - a musical journey” the performers were able to inspire the young and the young at heart with at least one performance on Sunday.

Martina Oberhauser was responsible for the concepts and lyrics, who packed the message of the fairy tale in musical interludes suitable for children.

Stefan Pellmaier wrote the appropriate music for the lyrics.

Great message is formed from the plot

The basic plot of the well-known fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm is that Hans receives a large, heavy and extremely valuable gold thaler for seven years of hard work. He then exchanges this for a horse. The horse soon has to give way to a cow in the next swap, which is replaced by a pig a short time later. After the pig was exchanged for a goose and the goose was finally exchanged for a heavy stone, Hans has nothing left in the end.

Nevertheless, the main character is always satisfied - just "Hans im Glück".

He is always happy with what he has right now.

Even if he's left empty-handed.

That is exactly the message that the concert wanted to convey to the children: There is such a "Hans im Glück" in each of us - just listen to your heart and do what feels right.

Go your own way, then you too will find your happiness.

Exchange gold for horse and horse for cow: the fairy tale of "Hans im Glück", who is constantly being ripped off and is still happy, was set to music by Luz Amoi.

The props were lovingly designed.

All of the items that Hans received during his trip could be found on the stage as lovingly designed props, and overall great care was taken to ensure that the image, plot and music were optimally coordinated throughout the piece to make the experience so harmonious for the children as possible.

First there is praise, then the downpour follows

Throughout the entire piece, the songs were designed to fit the plot perfectly.

The song “Was für ein Tausch” ran through the whole piece and was sung and clapped along by children and parents, which brought a lot of mood into the packed district court garden.

The children were just as enthusiastic about the performance as their parents.

“The way I sang about happiness, I was also lucky,” said a young visitor, referring to the last piece.

The parents also received praise for the performers and musicians.

Tenor: It was an absolutely well-rounded affair with music and lyrics.

Simply great.

An alternative date will be sought for a failed performance

After so much positive feedback, the actors could hardly wait for the second appearance.

The weather alone didn't cooperate anymore.

Because of the downpour, the second performance had to be canceled.

The guests got their money back.

Many children stood in front of the district court garden, venting their disappointment.

"I was so happy, I don't care about the rain," said a disappointed preschooler.

But there will definitely be an alternative date.

As soon as this is established, the Freisinger Tagblatt will inform you about it.
