The Criminal Security Branch in Lattakia arrested a wanted person who was involved in picking up cell phones from citizens in the streets and stealing the contents of cars.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed in a statement, which SANA received a copy of today, that through follow-up, continuous work and intensification of patrols, one of the patrols of the Criminal Security Branch in Lattakia was able to arrest a wanted person, and it was found that there are several research radio stations and police bulletins against him for theft crimes.
The ministry indicated that the arrested confessed, during his interrogation, to committing several incidents of picking up cellular devices from citizens and passers-by in the public streets in a slanderous manner, in addition to taking off the doors of parked cars with an iron cutter and breaking their windows to steal their contents, sell them and share the price with other persons previously arrested at the branch Several neighborhoods in Lattakia city. He also admitted to using the drug hashish.
The ministry confirmed the recovery of three stolen cellphones from the arrestee, and they were handed over to their owners as assets, and he will be presented to the judiciary to receive his just punishment.
