The Frente de Todos from Mendoza, led by camper senator Anabel Fernández Sagasti, finally sealed an alliance with the party of deputy

José Luis Ramón

;

a staunch ally who from his own bloc was key for the ruling party to get a quorum and the approval of difficult projects in the lower house.

Together they will seek to fight Cambia Mendoza, which is the ruling party in the province governed by the radical Rodolfo Suárez.

The tacit agreement that had been working in parliamentary practice between Ramón - who leads a six-member interblock - and the head of Deputies, Sergio Massa, was whitewashed by the electoral alliance that his space - "Protectora" - closed with the FdT in Mendoza .

The announcement, which could be seen coming, was made on the closing day of alliances with a joint photo on social networks.

"We are doing everything we have to do to confront the ruling party

. That is why we expanded the front with the space that in the last two elections has been the third force. We did it based on ideas and consensus that we understand must prevail" Sagasti told local media.

For his part, Ramón said: "We are pleased to have reached an agreement with the Frente de Todos that goes beyond the electoral process

. We have a long-term political perspective,

with protection of workers, industry, users and consumers, with a State present." .

Sagasti, who is out of the bench, is expected to top the Senate list.

Ramón wants to be given first place in the Deputies, but that option is not in the plans of the Frente de Todos, which

offers third place

, a position that is not guaranteed.

In Mendoza, the former governor and head of the National UCR, Alfredo Cornejo, is heading to head the list of senators of Cambia Mendoza and has a high positive image.

The Frente de Todos, on the contrary, does not do well in numbers in a province that, together with Córdoba, is one of the most anti-Kirchnerists.

The province renews, in total, five seats: three from the UCR, one from the Frente de Todos, and that of Ramón.

Mendoza's party is called "Protectora", it was born in 2017 from a consumer defense association and managed to be the third force in that province in the elections of that year and 2019.

Ramón, recognized for his militancy against the rates, was sworn in in 2017 - with a blanket on his shoulder - and remained in a monobloc called the Intransigent Party.

He allied in interblock with the bench "Evolution" of Martín Lousteau, but the agreement was broken when the Mendoza changed his position on the legalization of abortion, after having signed a joint document that was in favor.

"It seems to us that the way in which he has behaved is not up to the debate or the standards that we intend for our space, so we will no longer participate in any inter-block with deputy Ramón," the Lousteau bench announced at that time .

In 2019, with the change of political color and the arrival of Alberto Fernández to the presidency,

Ramón went on to preside over an interblock of eight members

close to the Frente de Todos.

Among them Although it was always said that this bench sealed an agreement with the president of the Chamber, Sergio Massa, Ramón always denied it.

The truth is that he was in favor of key projects.

Among them, the Judicial Reform, and it was a key vote for the opinion of the Public Prosecutor's Office project to be obtained.

He decided to give his support after a meeting with the Minister of Justice, Martín Soria, who promised at his request to create a Specialized Attorney for the Defense of Consumers and Users.

He

was

also

in favor of Vicentin's intervention

, a position that caused him to break with members of his own party, Protectora.

His approach to Kirchnerism produced heavy casualties in the Party.

Among them, the provincial deputy Mario Vadillo and the provincial senator Marcelo Romano slammed the door this year.

That forced Ramón to look for new allies.

This Wednesday, he sealed the agreement with the Frente de Todos.
