The marketing operations of the Syrian company's products for the manufacture of grapes in As-Suwayda improved during the first half of this year to reach 365 cubic meters, at a value of one billion and 625 million pounds, compared to 300 cubic meters, at a value of about 600 million pounds, during the same period last year.
The company's general manager, Fadi Shukair, indicated in a statement to SANA Economic Bulletin that the improvement is due to the increase in demand for the company's products in various Syrian governorates and the quality of the product, indicating that the estimated value of profits during the past six months amounted to about 200 million pounds.
Choucair indicated that production is going well despite the difficulties related to the high prices of raw materials and the shortage of workers, pointing out that there are efforts to export products abroad during the coming period.
The grape processing company in Sweida represents one of the most important outlets for farmers to dispose of the grape crop, and its products are popular in the market.
