A man injured a police officer when he was arrested

Nuremberg - Police officers were on duty in Sperberstrasse in Nuremberg last Friday afternoon (July 9th).

There they wanted to see a 37-year-old man.

An arrest warrant had been issued against him, including a one-year prison sentence.

In addition, there is another capital offense and the resulting pre-trial detention order, as emerges from a press release from the Central Franconian Police Headquarters.  


When the apartment door was opened, the police officers * gave the man the warrant, whereupon he actively resisted.

He tried to headbutt one of the officers present.

However, the policeman was not injured.  

Nuremberg: man physically attacks police officers 

A total of four officers were necessary to overpower the struggling man and then arrest him.

Another policeman was seriously injured in the hand and was incapacitated.

The wanted man was also injured.  

Additional investigations are now underway for assault and resistance against law enforcement officers.

The man is currently in the correctional facility.
