The Security Bureau stated that during a routine inspection of Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant this Tuesday (13th), it was discovered that one of the exhaust fans in the electrical building of Unit 1 of the nuclear power plant was rotating in the opposite direction.

The staff immediately adjusted the direction of the exhaust fan according to the procedure and confirmed that the function of the exhaust fan returned to normal after the adjustment.

The incident did not affect the normal operation of plant equipment, and the unit has been in safe operation.

According to the international nuclear incident classification table and nuclear safety regulations, this incident was determined to be a level 0 deviation yesterday (14th).

The incident has no impact on the safe operation of the crew, the health of employees, the surrounding public and the environment.
