The Minister of Internal Security, Amar Bar-Lev, announced this morning (Thursday) the appointment of Brigadier General (Res.) Amos Ben-Avraham to the position of corona enforcement project, following the decision of the Corona Cabinet to transfer responsibility for all insulation enforcement to the Ministry of Internal Security.
However, according to a senior official in the law enforcement system and in accordance with a response submitted by the Minister's Office, it appears that the appointment was made in violation of the Tenders Law.
According to the source, the minister determined the appointment on his own initiative.
"It is not possible to announce an appointment to such a position without a tender. It is serious that he sings from it without a tender," the senior law enforcement official stressed.
The remarks were joined by a senior official in the Civil Service Commission.
"It is inconceivable that the minister issues announcements to the media about a public service appointment, and only then does he turn to the Civil Service Commission," he said.
