Auspicious week for the Eiffel Tower.
After the July 14 fireworks display that put it in the spotlight, the emblematic monument of Paris welcomes visitors again from this Friday, July 16.
"We are preparing to wake up the old lady with elegance and care because she slept for 250 days, depending on the confinements," said
Jean-François Martins, president of the Eiffel Tower operating company (Sete).

For three weeks, the two elevators of the east and west pillars have been running empty, in order to test their reliability and safety.
The 350 employees, placed on partial unemployment, were recalled.
It is a question of regaining its marks and integrating the health protocol which will include, from July 21, the control of the health pass.
The Eiffel Tower will not be accessible to the unvaccinated.
"That does not worry me because it will be the norm in all monuments in France but also in Europe"
, estimates Jean-François Martins.
