The corona incidence in Europe is increasing rapidly.

Biggest problem: the violently rampant Delta variant.

Greece now separates the vaccinated from the non-vaccinated.

Athens / Nicosia - The fight against the corona pandemic remains a game for time: vaccination campaign vs. Delta variant, so to speak.

The number of infections is increasing rapidly across Europe and the European Union.

Particularly affected: young people who have not yet been vaccinated.

Country within the European Union:

Greece

7 day incidence:

160.8 (as of July 15, 2021)

Surface:

131,957 square kilometers

Residents:

10,718,565 (as of January 2020)

Prime minister:

Kyriakos Mitsotakis (Nea Dimokratia)

Cyprus, for example, still tops the inglorious list of countries with the most corona infections within seven days for every 100,000 inhabitants.

Accordingly, the incidence value in the island state on Thursday morning, July 15, 2021, was 756.4.

The next EU country is the Netherlands with an incidence of still an alarming 343.3.

In Greece, the incidence is currently 160.8 on Thursday, July 15, 2021.

Incidence in Greece: Government restricts rights for the unvaccinated - two-class society threatens

This prompts the government in Athens to issue far-reaching restrictions, especially for unvaccinated people.

This threatens a two-class society on the Aegean.

But vacationers are also affected by the new restrictions, which will apply from Thursday, July 15, 2021 due to the high incidence in Greece.

You can enter Germany with a negative rapid antigen test or PCR test, but that does not protect you from restrictions in the southern European country.

And the restrictions are far-reaching and also somewhat arbitrary.

For example, restaurants, amusement parks and similar facilities can decide completely independently whether they want to serve an unvaccinated person at all.

Or whether only vaccinated people get admission.

Tourists can see what happens in a company by the green “Covid-Free” seal.

Only people who have been vaccinated and who have recovered from Corona are served there.

Everyone else has to stay outside.

Those affected should therefore have proof with them - digitally or in paper form.

Incidence in Greece: Farms are free to decide who to serve

If a company decides to also serve the unvaccinated, the capacity utilization of the spaces is restricted - inside and outside.

There must then be a large distance between the tables and the evidence must be checked when entering.

These companies can be recognized by the orange-blue Covid-19 seal.

But be careful: Unvaccinated people are not allowed to sit at the same table with recovered or unvaccinated people.

That couldn't happen in the UK.

There Prime Minister Boris Johnson is sticking to his opening plans and ignoring the opinions of experts.

But not all of Great Britain follows the opening plans, because at least London mutinies on the question of the mask requirement against its own government.

Due to the incidence in Greece, test evidence should always be within reach

And Greece is not Great Britain either.

But the Greeks are not quite as drastic as Spain, where Barcelona closes the beaches and bars in Catalonia, or the Netherlands, which is freezing many corona easings again.

So if you are traveling to Greece now and have not yet been vaccinated, you would do well to always have your test certificate with you.

This could be helpful at the latest when checking into the hotel.

It can also be advantageous to reserve a table in restaurants or pubs, as companies that also serve unvaccinated people could quickly be full due to the reduction in tables.
