Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, enters the world of cartoons.
Netflix announced Tuesday that it will develop a new animated series with Meghan and Archewell Productions, the production company founded by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The series, tentatively titled "Pearl," is about the adventures of a 12-year-old girl, who is "inspired by a variety of influential women in history," according to a press release.
"Like many girls her age, our heroine Pearl is on a journey of self-discovery as she tries to overcome the daily challenges of life," Meghan said in a statement.
"I am delighted that Archewell Productions, partnered with the powerful Netflix platform, and these incredible producers are bringing you this new animated series together, celebrating extraordinary women throughout history."

Meghan will executive produce, along with David Furnish ("Rocketman") and others.
Amanda Rynda ("DC Super Hero Girls") is listed as the project's director and executive producer.
Megan Casey, Netflix original animation director, described the project as one that "intertwines fantasy and story."
"Pearl" would be the first animated series from Archewell Productions, Harry and Meghan.
The couple is already working with Netflix on a docuseries about the Invictus Games.
Meghan recently published her first children's book, "The Bench."
