The multi-purpose hall will be built on Lodererplatz and cost around 28 million euros.

The city building authority issued the demolition permit on July 8th.

Architect Arnd Rudolph presented the updated plans and the timeline to the planning and construction committee.
The new hall with grandstand is primarily used for sports at the elementary and middle school on Lodererplatz as well as for clubs.
It will also house the cafeteria for all-day classes.
But also major events with several hundred seats, a stage and artists' cloakrooms are planned in the new building with a large foyer and a central entrance area with steps leading to the Sempt.
Mayor Max Gotz (CSU) stated that there should be around four to five such events.
He is thinking primarily of school graduation parties and balls, for which schools are currently moving to Freising due to lack of space.
Rudolph reported that approval planning was going to be done by August. The excavation and first preparatory measures will follow by April 2022, before the hall will be built from June. It should be "construction-tight" by August 2023, before it is inaugurated in July 2024 as planned. According to Gotz 'and city architect Sebastian Henrich, school sport takes place in the new triple hall in the Gerd-Vogt-Sportpark in the Geislinger Ängern.
When Rudolph presented his first plans in February of this year, there was still talk of 27.2 million euros, now it is 28.3 million euros.
Gotz instructed the architects to keep the amount despite the price increases for building materials.
Rudolph replied that their development can hardly be foreseen at the moment.

Gotz also responded to the fears of some residents that the entrance area could attract noisy and alcohol-drinking journeymen at night.

Parking garage is an issue again

For large events with several hundred visitors, the space in the neighborhood would not be sufficient. Therefore, the new hall would be a good time to tackle the parking garage at the old building yard, which has been required for years, opposite the fire brigade. This is urgently needed for the old town anyway.
Gotz said that there are only a good half a dozen big events per year and that you don't have to build a parking garage for them.
But its need is undeniable.
Now that it is also clear that the fire brigade is moving - we are talking about the stadium area - we can now approach this project.
Herbert Maier (Greens) called for the hall to be built according to the passive house standard, "otherwise we will not get any further in the fight against climate change".
Semptsporthalle closed from August
Before the halls on Lodererplatz are demolished, the city has to close another sports arena for several months. Henrich reported that the renovation of the Semptsporthalle will begin in August. The work on the ventilation alone would cost 322,000 euros; The company Pala from Grafing was awarded the contract. But also the glued timber construction of the ceiling is up for renovation according to the city architect. The city has to step up to speed, otherwise it endangers federal funding for projects that provide for a corona-compatible conversion of ventilation systems. Implementation must have taken place by the end of the year. "I hope that we will be finished with everything by then," said the city architect. Gotz explained that the temporary elimination of the hall was painful, but was inevitable. “We'll have something nice for that afterwards,” he asked for understanding.
Design office for fire stations named
There is also a new state of affairs for the new guards for the Erding and Altenerding fire brigades.
The overall planning will be awarded to the cheapest bidder K plan from Abensberg.
The office is not unknown in Erding - it also designed the technical college and vocational school.
