The municipality is clearly the pioneer in the Freising district: Allershausen will order air purification devices by the end of the month at the latest: for elementary and middle school as well as for the community kindergarten.

It was a declaration of intent by the Allershausen municipal council in the previous meeting to tackle the issue of air filter systems for elementary and middle school as quickly as possible. And Mayor Martin Vaas took that literally, took action immediately and had good news in the most recent meeting. Immediately after the meeting, he contacted a company based in Allershausen, which had already installed six devices for a trial run at the school. Vaas is not afraid of jeopardizing government subsidies with a snap shot. "It has now been formulated very clearly in a guideline which devices are approved and eligible for funding." And he was guided by that.
How many devices are actually needed for elementary and middle school is currently being determined. What the community is also tackling right away are air filter devices for the community kindergarten. The municipality is also responsible for material expenses for this, and since one also wants to protect the youngest, the municipal childcare facility is also equipped with such devices. Vaas currently does not know whether the material cost managers of the other day-care centers will follow suit. With regard to middle school, the Allershausen community cannot go it alone. Here the okay from the other school association members is necessary. But, as Vaas emphasized, he had called for the blessing of his mayoral colleagues beforehand and also called a school association meeting on July 26th,to give the whole thing an official decision. Then offers are obtained from two other companies, then the contract is awarded. "If we order by July 30th, the devices will be delivered by the start of the new school year."
Incidentally, Vaas explains the pragmatic approach of the Allershausen community as follows: "Everyone wants it, there are grants and it only has advantages for the children - what am I supposed to mumble about for a long time?"
