The Chief Criminal Inspector of Sham Shui Po District, Zhang Lequan, stated that "quick money" crimes in Sham Shui Po in the second quarter of this year increased by 5.4% compared with the first quarter. In order to combat such crimes, a special task force was set up in the West Kowloon Region and deployed. The team members collected relevant crime information in Sham Shui Po District and launched an operation code-named "Feng Xian" in July. A total of 64 people were arrested, including 39 men and 25 women, aged between 18 and 66, among which 58 were Chinese nationals. The case was handed over to the third team of the Sham Shui Po Crime Squad for follow-up.

Sham Shui Po District Operations Director Chief Inspector Wen Zhipei continued that during the operation, the police also arrested a 59-year-old Bangladeshi man on suspicion of handling stolen goods; two 30-year-old and a 33-year-old Indian man were arrested on suspicion of trafficking in dangerous drugs , The police found 1 kilogram of heroin and about 2.2 kilograms of cannabis on their bodies and inside the unit, with a market value of about 1.5 million yuan.

Another 38 people were arrested on suspicion of "managing gambling establishments" and "gambling in gambling establishments", and seized 5 fishing machines, 10 shooting game machines, 6 electric sparrow machines, 1 number book, and 3 reading machines. Card device and a batch of game cards, etc.

The police reiterated that it is a very serious crime for anyone to buy or sell stolen goods. The crime of handling stolen goods carries a maximum imprisonment of 14 years.
