Seven people were injured during a riot that took place this evening in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, while demonstrators blocked many roads in a number of regions of Lebanon.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that demonstrators tried to block the road in the Kula area of ​​Beirut and threw stones at the army when they tried to open the road, while the General Directorate of Lebanese Civil Defense indicated that seven injured were taken to hospital.

Demonstrators also blocked several roads in a number of Lebanese regions, including Elia intersection in Sidon and Choueifat Road, in addition to Khalde, Naameh and Barja roads to the south, the International Maritime Road in Akkar, North Lebanon, the Diniyeh Road in Tripoli, the International Road at the Dorus Town Roundabout near the southern entrance to Baalbek, the Khalde Highway and the road Al-Miniyah Al-Abdah International.

Saad Hariri, assigned to form a new government in Lebanon, announced, after his meeting with Lebanese President Michel Aoun earlier today, his apology for forming the government and his rejection of all the amendments requested by the President of the Republic, so Hariri's supporters rushed to the streets in many cities and cut off roads with burning tires and stones, amid successive calls across Loudspeakers to take to the streets of Beirut, Tripoli and Sidon.

Al-Hariri's supporters attacked members of the army, who tried to open roads to the citizens, while army units brought more vehicles to the axes of the demonstrations.
