The General Company for the Shoe Industry is working to invest its technical and human energies in order to develop its production capabilities, increase production quantities and implement contracts with many public authorities, in addition to providing the local market with its high quality shoes that keep pace with consumers' tastes.
The general manager of the company, Eng. Sherif Al-Hassan, explained in a statement to the representative of SANA the measures taken to increase the production capacity in its laboratories through its reliance on skilled workers, technicians and producers who have a long history of work that has led to the preservation of the machines and the continuity of their work to this day, indicating that the company’s technicians have maintained and repaired many Of the machines in the company’s laboratories in Masyaf and As-Suwayda, renovating, rehabilitating and putting them into the production process, in addition to developing production capabilities by announcing the supply of a number of machines that enrich production lines and keep pace with the development in the shoe industry.
Hassan revealed that the company had signed a number of contracts with several public bodies, the value of which amounted to 12 billion Syrian pounds, to be manufactured and supplied to those parties, indicating that for the first time and in the first step of its kind, the company announced selling agents in all Syrian governorates in parallel with pumping quantities From production to meet the needs and desires of the requesting parties, as well as introducing the products of factories through participation in exhibitions and festivals, and currently we are participating in the Al-Assi Festival in Hama.
Hassan indicated that the application of the new production incentives system in the company and its linking to production contributed to its increase and the worker's attachment to his machine more, in the belief of the company's management that the workers deserve every initiative as they are the main pillar in the continuity of the company's work and the steadfastness of the industrial public sector.
According to the production and marketing report of the company during the first half of this year, the company produced a quantity of 167,000 pairs and sold 150,000 pairs at a value of 3.2 billion, and the estimated profits exceeded 500 million pounds, in addition to the presence of mobile stores that are marketed on a daily basis with a quantity of 48,365 pairs, valued at 800 million pounds.
