” the resignation of the Minister of Justice Eric Dupond-Moretti if he were to be indicted on Friday July 16 by the magistrates of the Court of Justice of the Republic, considering that the decision is the sole responsibility of the President of the Republic.

This is a first for a sitting Minister of Justice. A year after entering the government, Eric Dupond-Moretti is summoned to the judges on Friday to explain himself on suspicions of conflicts of interest between his action as Keeper of the Seals and his former activity as a lawyer. Eric Dupond-Moretti is expected - with his three lawyers - at 9 a.m. at the Court of Justice of the Republic (CJR), the only one empowered to judge ministers for offenses in the exercise of their functions. He is suspected of having taken advantage of his post of Keeper of the Seals to settle accounts in cases in which he had been involved as a lawyer by ordering administrative inquiries on several magistrates, including three from the National Financial Prosecutor's Office (PNF) .
