In the summer, the Freising tourist information team offers exciting city tours for those who have stayed at home.

Freising

- From Friday, July 16 to September 10, there is a one-hour tour every Friday at 6 p.m. at a price of eight euros per person.

The number of participants is limited due to legal regulations.

Advance registration is required on Tel. (0 81 61) 5 44 41 11.

The applicable hygiene rules must be observed and a mask must be brought with you.

The spectrum

The wide range of topics includes city history and stories from the city: Participants can be transported back to earlier times on the tour "1025 years of market, coin and customs law in Freising" (July 16) or on a cemetery walk "Of sea nuns and grave graves" (July 30th) learn something about rituals and hygiene of yore.

“Clara Reischlin and Therese vd Vring - in memory of Freising women from society” (23 July) promises memories of famous Freising women and inspiration for today's social life.

A walk along the Moosach gives you relaxation and new knowledge about “fountains, mills, weirs” (August 6) and the course of the rivers in the city.

Roider Jackl and film set

Of course, the popular guided tour around "The life of the Gstanzl singer and Freising forester Roider Jackl" (August 13th) is on offer again.

The old town of Freising has often made a film career as a charming backdrop - “Freising in the limelight” (August 27), a tour of film locations in the city, reveals the background.

"Itching powder and rosary" (August 20) sheds light on the major theme of the rose city of Freising from unusual perspectives, "Stumbling blocks - a person is only forgotten when his name is forgotten" (September 10) recalls Jewish life and unforgettable Freising.

The tour “In the footsteps of old professions or from goalkeeper to executioner” (September 3rd) also provides insights.
