The high-altitude anticyclone currently affecting southeastern China will begin to weaken today.
A wide area of low pressure will bring showers and thunderstorms to the northern part of the South China Sea and the coasts of South China from near the weekend to early next week.
It is expected that the low pressure area in the Northwest Pacific will gradually develop in the next few days and bring unstable weather to the area.
According to the Transport Department, in order to cope with the extended opening hours of the book fair held in Hong Kong on July 16 and 17, the authorities will implement special transportation arrangements on the two days mentioned above:
I. Extend and strengthen the ferry service between Wan Chai and Tsim Sha Tsui. The last ferry will be extended to 11:30 pm daily, and the frequency will be increased to every 8 to 12 minutes after 8 pm every day.
II. Special cross-harbour bus service
Six special cross-harbour bus routes will depart from the exhibition area at the following times to cater for additional passenger demand:
(a) Every night from 10 am to 12:30 am the next day, from Expo Drive Convention and Exhibition Phase II, passing Nathan Road, Cheung Sha Wan Road, and ending at Mei Foo 105R; and passing Hung Hom, To Kwa Wan, Kowloon City, and ending 111R for Kwun Tong
(b) From 10:30 to 11:30 every night, from outside the Convention Road Harbour Center, via the Red Tunnel, West Kowloon, to Yuen Long (West) 168R
(c) Every night from 10:15 to 12:15 in the morning from outside the Convention Road Harbour Center, via the Red Tunnel, East Kowloon, to Sau Mau Ping An Tai (West) 603R
(d) Every night from 10:15 to 12:30 in the morning from outside the office building of Fleming Road Convention Plaza, via the Red Tunnel, East Kowloon, to the 191R of the Lohas Park Capital Terminus in Tseung Kwan O
(e) From 10:45 am to 11:45 pm every night, it departs from outside the Convention Road Harbour Center, via the Red Tunnel, Lion Tunnel, Shatin, Tolo Harbour Highway, and ends at 178R at Choi Yan House, Choi Po Court, Fanling
