The man was originally charged with murder. After being accepted by the prosecution, he pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the High Court today (16th).
Deputy Judge Mai Weide accused the defendant of continuing to drink while being selfish, and sentenced him to an indefinite hospital order to enter the Xiaolan Psychiatric Center until the doctor confirmed that he had been treated and recovered.
13 years old due to alcoholism to mental problems
The defendant Luo Yunde (57 years old, unemployed) was originally charged with one count of murder, alleging that he murdered his 40-year-old wife Huang Ling in a unit in Nanlelou, Nanshan Village, Shek Kip Mei on November 28, 2018, and the prosecution accepted him Pleaded guilty to a manslaughter.
According to the case, the defendant married his wife in 2001 and his two sons were 16 and 10 years old.
He has been suffering from mental problems due to alcoholism since the age of 13. He was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2003 and was admitted to Kwai Chung Hospital.

The defendant was mentally ill and needed to take medication for a long time, but he believed that the medication had caused it to fail, so he reduced the medication by himself.
On the day of the incident, the two sons were not at home at school. The defendant had a dispute with his wife who was cooking in the kitchen. He thrust a knife into her back and dragged her to the living room.
He later abandoned the knife involved in the trash can on the floor of the building, went to the platform alone, and then went home to call the police that his wife had committed suicide. After the police and firefighters arrived at the scene, he admitted that he had killed his wife.
The doctor reported that the defendant's wife died of a knife wound.
The defense court stated that the defendant loved his son. The defendant stated in the prisoner column that he wanted to intercede in person, but the deputy judge Mai Weide refused. His lawyer said that his neighbor could prove his personality.
