Avoid the Paris region

In the direction of departures on Saturday, the majority of major routes are affected with particularly difficult traffic in the Massif Central on the A20 and A71 motorways and in the Rhône valley on the A7 motorway. The journeys are also tedious along the Mediterranean on the A8 and A9.

"In the direction of the returns, many trips are expected throughout the country but the difficulties should be moderate,"

predicts Bison Futé who advises to leave or cross Ile-de-France before 8 am and to leave the major cities before 9 am. In the direction of the returns, it is after 2 pm that it will be necessary to avoid Paris and its region.

Sunday, conditions will be more favorable with a day classified as green at the national level although orange in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and on the Mediterranean Arc in the direction of the departures. The A7 between Lyon and Marseille and the A8 between Aix-en-Provence and Italy should be avoided from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. respectively. In the direction of returns, the whole territory is in green.
