A sort of luminous trail that seems to start from the stars painted on the vault of the Upper Basilica of Assisi frescoed by Giotto, followed by a noise: it appears in one of the video-dialogues published on Facebook by Father Enzo Fortunato and no one knows exactly what it is.

However, he immediately attracted the attention of the many who follow the Franciscan on the social network who had not even noticed that image.

On the evening of July 14, Father Fortunato dedicated his speech to the Gospel when he said that "whoever has no light in his face will never become a star". "Light on the face to be stars" says the Franciscan at the end of his video. "I leave you with the image of St. Francis who is light" he adds. To then film the central nave of the basilica with the mobile phone, finally aiming the camera towards the vaults frescoed by Giotto. At that point (at minutes 21 and 23 seconds of the video) a thin light trail appears almost imperceptibly, which seems to start from one of the side sails. Right from one of the stars, ending up in the center of the same nave. At that point in the empty church there is a thud.

All this had escaped Father Fortunato who in fact does not mention it in his speech. However, it was immediately noticed by those who follow him on Facebook. "Do you also see a shooting star in the basilica? You can see a falling star among the blue vaults and you also hear a noise that is thrilling" wrote one of them. "Last night I didn't notice but now I saw this star too and it moved me so much, we were talking about stars and one of them fell .... with San Francesco nothing is impossible", he adds another.

Asked by ANSA, Father Fortunato declined to comment on the images in any way.
