French business creations rebounded somewhat in June after a decline the previous month, INSEE statistics show on Friday, especially with a high rate in accommodation and catering.
Last month, business start-ups rose 0.8% from May, after falling 4.1% the previous month.

The decline in May was explained by a sharp drop in the creation of microenterprises.
These remained in slight decline in June (-0.2% after -7.4%).
The general rebound last month can be explained exclusively by an acceleration in the creation of so-called traditional businesses (+ 2.6%, after + 2.1%).
However, microenterprises remain largely dominant among new businesses, with more than 50,000 out of 82,924 creations.
