No trial for the murderer of Father Matassoli.
This Friday, Alexandre V. was declared criminally irresponsible for his actions by the investigative chamber of the Amiens Court of Appeal.
Indicted since December 26, 2019, the 20-year-old young man who savagely killed the former pedophile priest on November 4, 2019 at the priest's home in Agnetz, will be transferred from the penitentiary psychiatric unit to a medical establishment specialized.
If the chamber recognized that it was indeed he who killed the 91-year-old abbot, it also considered that the psychiatric disorders of Alexandre V., recognized by several psychiatric expertises, put an end to the criminal action brought against him.
During the hearing which took place on May 25, the Advocate General requested the compulsory hospitalization in a psychiatric establishment of Alexandre V., emphasizing the total abolition of discernment at the time of the facts.

His lawyer, Me Caty Richard, welcomes the end of a "legal process which will allow Alexandre and his family to devote themselves to his care". The epilogue of a case which according to her does not mean "the impossibility for the potential victims of the abbot to have their status recognized". After the death of the priest, several testimonies have reported the pedophilia of Roger Matassoli. Alexandre V.'s father himself revealed that he had been abused in the 1980s in the presbytery of Saint-André-Farivillers.
As for Alexandre, he spoke from the naked households he did in front of the old man who "fixed (his) sex" at his home in Agnetz. It was here that Roger Matassoli was found dead, a crucifix in his throat and his eyes sunk in their sockets. A few hours after the crime, the young murderer was arrested at the wheel of the victim's car, in Val-d'Oise.
