Tehran-Sana
Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Abbas Araqchi affirmed that his country is going through a transitional phase and that the parties to the Vienna negotiations should wait for the country's new administration.
Araghchi, head of the Iranian delegation to the negotiations to revive the nuclear agreement in Vienna, wrote in a tweet today, "We are now going through a transitional phase and a democratic transfer of power is currently underway in Tehran. It is clear that the Vienna negotiations must wait for the new government in Iran... This is a necessity for any democracy."
On the issue of prisoner exchange with the United States and Britain, Araqchi said, "It is possible to exchange prisoners with the United States and Britain if they abide by their commitments and not link the humanitarian aspect of prisoner exchange with the nuclear agreement," calling for not making the prisoner exchange subject to political goals, because that would lose both. .
Iranian government spokesman Ali Rabiei had previously confirmed that the parties participating in the Vienna talks on the nuclear deal had reached common understandings on many issues, despite there being differences on some issues, stressing that his country would not accept any agreement that does not serve its interests.
