The reaction of the Cuban singer-songwriter Silvio Rodríguez to the protests against the government of his country continues to generate criticism from various parts of the artistic and cultural world.
After writing on his blog "Segunda Cita" that the demonstrations "were prepared and encouraged by the imperial regime," Rodríguez detailed in a later publication that the situation "demands from us a very deep and lucid meditation on our reality."
