Israel is expected to cross the threshold of 1,000 verified patients a day today (Saturday) - for the first time in four months.

However, according to Weizmann Institute researcher Prof. Eran Segal, the patient data is still low compared to previous waves.

"When in the third wave we crossed the 1,000 verified for the first time (on November 25) there were an average of 29 new hard patients per day. This week there were an average of eight new hard patients per day," Segal tweeted.
