The Spanish authorities today evacuated about 350 people from the fire that swept through the forests in the Costa Brava region in northeastern Spain.
"The fire that broke out yesterday caused the evacuation of more than 300 people from their homes and the destruction of more than a thousand acres of forests and trees on the edge of the Cap de Creos Natural Park, which is a popular tourist area," local authorities said in the region, according to Reuters. Aircraft and 90 firefighting crews to control the fire.
Investigations are underway to uncover the circumstances and causes of the fire.
