The health authorities in Catalonia, Spain, have warned of the emergence of a new surge of infections with the Corona virus, as some employees go to spend their summer vacations.
And the Russia Today website quoted the director of health services in the region, Gemma Krawinkel, as saying in an interview with Spanish radio AC1 that “the region may witness an increase in the number of intensive care patients from 300 at the present time to about 500,” noting that the region is under “great pressure” due to An increase in the number of infections as a result of the outbreak of the most contagious “delta” mutant.
It is noteworthy that Spain ranks eleventh in the world in terms of the number of coronavirus infections, with more than four million infections recorded.
