A 16-year-old young man was shot dead on Saturday evening in Arles (Bouches-du-Rhône) at a narcotics trafficking point, we learned from the police on Sunday.

The facts happened around 8 p.m. in the Barriol district when a car arrived and shot the teenager, police reported, confirming information from La Provence.
The victim had no criminal record.

The Bouches-du-Rhône and Marseille in particular have been experiencing an outbreak of violence since the beginning of the summer and this homicide brings to seven the number of people killed since June 25, most of them visibly linked to drug trafficking.
