Prof. Oded Gonen, 66, a former IDF officer, was deported from Ben Gurion Airport back to the United States with his wife yesterday (Saturday).

Gonen left Israel 35 years ago, and today he is an American citizen and serves as a computer expert at a university in the United States.

Yesterday he and his wife Poland, a 58-year-old American, boarded a United Airlines flight at Newark Airport in New Jersey.

According to them, before boarding the plane, all their documents were examined, including 11 certificates and various permits required to enter Israel.
