The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) uses a similar system with its list of international risk areas.
It is divided into virus variant areas such as Brazil or South Africa, high-incidence areas such as Great Britain or Portugal and “simple” risk areas such as the Netherlands or Spain.
Travel to these countries is not prohibited, but difficult conditions await returnees.
