"
We must be clear: henceforth, it is either general vaccination or the viral tsunami, there is no alternative
", insists the spokesman of the Government, Gabriel Attal in an interview with the
Parisian
.
He is sounding the alarm on the epidemic situation.
In one week, the incidence rate is more than 50 per 100,000 inhabitants, an increase of 80% over a week.
“
Unheard of since the start of the crisis,
” he says.

Faced with anti-vaccines, Gabriel Attal does not mince his words.
"
With these demonstrations
, the virus can count its troops
."
For him, two France are opposed.
A "
laborious and proactive France, which wants to put the virus behind it and work
", and a "
capricious and defeatist fringe, very minority, which would be happy to remain in chaos and inactivity
".
Convince the unvaccinated
"
We do not want to burden the vaccinated with the choice of the unvaccinated
", assures Gabriel Attal, who calls "
each of the 37 million vaccinated
" to convince those who "
still hesitate to be vaccinated
".
The bill which extends the use of the health pass and makes vaccination compulsory for caregivers will be presented to the Council of Ministers on Monday.

The text also provides for compulsory isolation for ten days for positive people.
A measure defended by the government spokesperson.
“
Today, a police control system exists for people who come from“ red ”countries even if they are negative, with a fine of 1000 euros if they do not respect their isolation.
Extending it to positive cases detected on French soil makes good sense.
"
At the end of the interview, Gabriel Attal again defended the need for a pension reform: "
the question is not whether to do the reform, but when to do it
".
This should be initiated "as
soon as the epidemic horizon is clear
".
In
Le Figaro
, Xavier Bertrand, denounced the “
operetta voluntarism
” of Emmanuel Macron.
In response, Gabriel Attal blurted out: "
Xavier Bertrand always says he is for reforms, but when they happen, he wrestles, recently again on unemployment insurance
".
The government spokesperson also attacks Anne Hidalgo, "
ambiguous about the compulsory vaccination of caregivers
".
"
His political speech is a permanent looping
", he concludes.
