Cuban influencer Adrián Herrera, who usually shares his art with makeup and fashion with his thousands of followers, used his digital platforms this Wednesday to send a message in English to Joe Biden, president of United States, in order to request their intervention to achieve freedom in Cuba.

The video of the young man, who recounts that he has participated in opposition protests, is now viral in the framework of the historic demonstrations in that country.

During the emotional message, Adrián tells President Biden that he is not asking him to remove them from the island, but to help the people to achieve freedom.

"We will be in the streets every day asking for freedom and I don't care if I die ... You have the power to set us free," adds the influencer.

“I don't want a war, only if they don't want to leave the government.

We do not ask for a military intervention just because we want it or because we want them to disappear, we ask for it because they are armed, they are killing people.

They are going to kill us and the world is not going to find out ”, emphasizes the young man in other fragments of the message lasting more than 11 and a half minutes.

The audiovisual highlights the discontent of opponents of the Cuban government over the controls on social networks and the use of the Internet, as well as the impossibility of legally protecting themselves from these and other rights violations.

"Because we have no law," laments Herrera.

Herrera told CNN this Saturday that, after recording the video, he is seeking greater personal security, adding that he knows of cases in which influencers and other opponents were arrested for showing their disagreement with the government.

CNN has spent several days trying to obtain reactions from the Cuban government on these complaints, but there is still no response to identify possible spokespersons for the competent institutions.
