At the Baierbrunn citizens' assembly, school policy was addressed in the Zweckverband.

There is a certain degree of dissatisfaction with the fact that the neighboring municipality of Pullach would mainly focus on its own sensitivities.

Baierbrunn - The Pullachers and their schools - a topic that will not be easy to solve.

At the 2020 citizens' meeting in Baierbrunn, Mayor Patrick Ott (ÜWG) found clearer words than ever;

after it looks like Straßlach-Dingharting is leaving the association, he said in front of around 60 visitors: "Pullach will have to get used to the fact that other municipalities also have a say."

Congregations are equal

The school is supported by four “communities with equal rights”;

which is why the considerations of relocating the middle school from Pullach to Baierbrunn have to be approved by all the municipalities involved.

Ott said: "A solution that only has the Pullach sensitivities in view will not be supported by our community."

One idea envisages a school in Baierbrunn

The Pullachers could well have a problem with that.

They want to rebuild their too small elementary school on the premises of the middle school.

The other municipalities, whose children and young people attend the Josef-Breher-Mittelschule, would of course have to participate in the construction of the middle school, which is also necessary.

It is one of several ideas to rebuild the middle school in Baierbrunn.

The pandemic should end

Other topics at the meeting, which took place in a tent that the community and United Initiators had specially set up on the grounds of the sports and community center: the traffic in Buchenhain, where the forest, birch and park road area is regularly parked , the many dogs that are also taken for a walk in Baierbrunn and for which a visitor wishes to be on a leash.

Another person present had a concern that many of those who were sitting around certainly shared, but which, unfortunately, is not within the power of the Baierbrunners to be implemented.

He wanted the pandemic to end.

Colorful weekly market a nice thing

In the meantime, Patrick Ott announced that the community, which is currently flourishing and in which a colorful weekly market has recently been taking place on Wednesdays, among other things, will in any case have to do without the Gasthof Post as an inn.

The head of the municipality, who sovereignly led through the first citizens' meeting of his term in office, said that one had to come to terms with the idea “that there will never be a beer garden there again”.

The listed building is currently being converted into apartments.

Trouble on the Isartrails

Another topic on the evening: the Isartrail, which of course runs along the slopes of the Isar on Baierbrunner Flur.

Just recently, reported Mayor Ott, mountain bikers down there, in one of the most sensitive areas of the community, used a battery saw to create a ramp.

Former Mayor Christine Kammermeier (SPD) said that area managers should definitely inform the sports cyclists in the area: "Bad Tölz has six to eight of these area managers, we don't have one."

In his annual report, Patrick Ott once again listed projects that the small community has planned for the very near future.

Among other things, the footballers' changing room is to be rebuilt, with additional rooms for clubs.
