Blocked roads, a closed motorhome parking space, a cleared parking deck: the water masses of the past few days also have an impact on the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen

- On Sunday afternoon, the water level of the Isar at the bridge in Bad Tölz hovered around 1.70 meters. Reporting level 1 is reached at two meters. The Sylvenstein reservoir was opened around 12 noon, and more than 120 cubic meters per second flowed out. But: "Compared to other districts, we got away with it relatively lightly," emphasizes Stefan Kießkalt, spokesman for the district fire brigade association, with a view, among other things, to the Berchtesgadener Land. The population in Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen must nevertheless expect restrictions and disabilities in the coming days.

The phone no longer stood still at the Bad Tölz police on Sunday. "Many wanted to know what is blocked and where you can still go," reports police spokesman Thomas Schuhbauer. The heavy rainfall had meant that some roads had to be closed, report the police and fire brigade. The B 307 from Fall in the direction of Vorderriß has not been passable since Sunday afternoon. According to the police, the reason for this is that the Rissbach has washed away the street. According to the road construction authority, “the stability of the district road is no longer guaranteed”. The Fall and Vorderriß volunteer fire brigades and the Mürnsee fire brigade to support the flood were already involved in the morning. Among other things, they secured houses. How long the road will be closed cannot yet be foreseen,it says in a message from the road construction department. In addition, the Vorderriß-Wallgau toll road is not passable.

The B 11 between Urfeld and Walchensee also had to be completely closed on Sunday.

The reason there is a mudslide on the so-called Reißenwand south of Urfeld.

The main road must remain closed until at least Monday morning due to the flooding and the scree.

According to the state building authority, there is also an acute risk of further mudslides as well as stone or block falls from the crack wall.

Excursion traffic to Austria is also affected: the B 181, the Achenpass, is closed between Maurach and Seehoftunnel.

There is a risk of landslides there.

Fire brigade moves out in Kochel

In Tölz, Königsdorfer Straße was closed on Sunday.

According to Kießkalt, the fire brigade has set up flood protection.

As a precaution, the emergency services also cleared the motorhome parking space directly on the Isar.

Since the bottom floor of the parking garage on Bockschützstrasse was slowly filling up with water, the police notified the 15 or so vehicle owners who had parked there and blocked the floor.

The fire brigade also had to move out to Kochel because the cellars were full.

The Loisach had exceeded reporting level one at Kochelsee.

The Lainbach in Benediktbeuern and the Steinbach in Bichl also had good water, reported residents.

The river festival is currently running in Wolfratshausen, the stage is floating on the Loisach.

On Sunday afternoon, the city had to pull the rip cord due to the risk of flooding.

The concert by Laith Al-Deen in the evening has been moved to the Loisachhalle.

Fire department spokesman Kießkalt is “positive” about the coming days, as drier weather is announced.

But how long the closures will last was not foreseeable on Sunday.

That also depends on how much of the Sylvenstein drains off.

Police spokesman Schuhbauer assumes that the streets will remain tight for longer.

"That depends on how quickly the water drains off and the condition of the roads."

Water watch warns before driving on the Isar: "Acute danger to life"

However, the sunnier weather for the coming days is already causing concern for the water watch. Because at the moment the Isar is extremely dangerous due to the floating debris and the cloudy water. "If the weather gets better now, some of them will certainly be sailing on the Isar in their rubber dinghies," predicts a rescuer from the water rescue service. “That is definitely life-threatening.” Because you can't see which branches and roots the murky river is carrying with it. The floating debris could tear open the dinghy and put people in need as a result. In addition, the water rollers are also a deadly danger - and not only for the boaters, but also for the rescuers, who, according to the water watch, would then be forced to move out to save the capsized. The water watch appeals under no circumstances to go in boats on the Isar in the coming days.By the way, kayakers were even out and about on Sunday in heavy rain at the Tölzer Wehr. Fortunately, nothing happened to anyone. No injuries were reported by the evening.
