The gynecologist Zulma Malvar (63) was murdered on the morning of July 18, 2019. Her body was found lying in the courtyard of her house, with blows and signs of hanging.
From the outset, the theft hypothesis was ruled out.
The front door had not been forced.
And nothing of value was missing.
The woman showed signs of having defended herself from her attacker.
The body was found by her son, after he was called from the San Julián hospital, in Santa Cruz, because his mother had not attended to perform a scheduled cesarean section.
Two years have passed and the crime remains unpunished.
There is only one suspect: a doctor, Zulma's partner
in the hospital who left the area two months after the crime.
“There are people here who know things and don't say them.
He is afraid.
I cannot understand that in a town where we all know each other, no one has seen anything when the least 'puterio' walks through it in a matter of hours, "

And he added: “So far we only have one suspect.
A surgeon who worked in the hospital and disappeared two months after the crime.
He only had a working relationship with my mother and it was not entirely good.
They had already argued and she became afraid of him.
He is a person with a criminal record that is scary.
He was imprisoned.
We have good suspicions to think that he had to do with this, ”added Alejandro, a 46-year-old lawyer.
San Julián is a town located in the bay of the same name.
It is located 260 kilometers from Río Gallegos, the capital of Santa Cruz.
It has about 16 thousand inhabitants.
“We all know each other here.
I don't think anyone has heard or seen anything.
Not even the neighbors who are in the middle of the wall ”, he remarked.
On the day of the crime, Zulma had to go to the hospital for a cesarean section.
As she did not arrive, they called the doctor - now the main suspect - to replace her.
“Here the first questions arise.
This man, who had a criminal record and that is why he could not enter to work in a dependency relationship in the province, was monotax and was billing.
But coincidentally that morning he said he couldn't go because his girlfriend was sick and he had to take care of her.
Nobody knew he was even in a relationship, "said the victim's son.
Zulma was very loved and respected in the town.
That is why his violent death caused a great commotion.
Many local boys and girls were born into his hands.
She never missed work and had many friends.
“Justice did things wrong from the start.
He even allowed the presence of this man who arrived after my mother's companions called him to notify him.
The crime scene was contaminated
, I have no doubts.
Even this doctor took macabre photos with his cell phone that he later showed in the hospital and even uploaded to social networks.
He never went to testify and after two months he disappeared ”, expressed Alejandro.
And he continued with the focus on the suspect: “We followed his trail.
He first appeared in Carmen de Patagones and now he is in Mendoza, where they extracted blood by order of justice.
But the exhibitions have been here in San Julián for a long time and the expertise has not been made ”.
Last year a lawyer from Caleta Olivia sent a letter to the judge in the case, Ludovico Pío Pala, requesting authorization and conducting a parallel investigation.
To do this, he brought together renowned lawyers from Santa Cruz.
Also to former prosecutors and former justice officials.

In January of this year, he was admitted with Covid.
And in February he died.
In the first days of his hospitalization, when nothing could predict the fatal outcome, he had told

We must also remember that at first the justice suspected Alejandro and his partner. They lived around the corner from Zulma's house and were the first to arrive and discover the woman's body. “It's true, they targeted us. They gave us all the skills you can imagine. They hijacked cell phones, computers. They took DNA samples from us. I was very bad for a long time. Even without leaving my house.
I loved and loved my mother and I want to know who killed her.
I think she knew or had seen something that this man did not want, "said the son.
Together with his brothers Andrés, 37, and Paula, 44 (both live in Córdoba), they are determined that this murder does not go unpunished.
And neither do the people of San Julián, who have already carried out several mobilizations towards the local courts to ask for Justice.
Zulma was going on the cold morning of June 18, 2019 to fulfill the mission of bringing a new child into the world.
As it had for many years.
It was a profession that he loved.
But someone got in her way and killed her.
Although he tried to defend himself, it was not enough.
