After a thirteen-year hiatus from holding exhibitions in Syria, the plastic artist Hala Al-Faisal returned through a solo exhibition that included her paintings from 2000 until this year.

The exhibition, which was hosted by the Exhibition Hall in the Julia Domna Hotel in Damascus, took a retrospective character and included paintings about Syria, women and Julia Domna, who ruled the Roman Empire and the human being with his various obsessions.

And between New York, Berlin, Damascus and Homs, Al-Faisal did not stop producing various paintings in which the fine movement was supplemented with continuous creativity to depict part of it in her paintings in her last exhibition.

Al-Faisal stressed the need to stand by Syria, the country of sophistication, civilization, history, the cradle of civilizations, and repel the continuous aggression it is exposed to by embodying its heritage through plastic art.

It is noteworthy that Hala Al-Faisal is a Syrian plastic artist, born in Homs. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Damascus University in 1983, and then studied in various institutes and schools in Moscow, Paris and New York. She speaks Russian, French, English, German and Spanish.

Hala has held several art exhibitions and has also acted in the film “The Next Year’s Events” for Samir The Memory of the 1986 production.
