While everyone is only talking about electric cars - the European Commission has just declared the end of thermal engines in 2035 - the brand with the rings has not yet abandoned the development of the famous five-cylinder 2.5-liter turbocharged. This distinctive sounding engine still delivers 400 horsepower, but power is delivered over a wider rev range. From 5,600 rpm and up to 7,000 rpm. For its part, the couple gains 20 Nm to deliver 500 Nm, from 2,250 to 5,600 rpm. Consequences: the approval increases, as does the acceleration and the pick-up. 100 km / h is reached in 3.8 seconds. Top speed is limited to 250 km / h but an RS Dynamic pack including ceramic brakes can reach 290 km / h.

Wanted more sporty, this new generation of the vitamin compact sedan is the first Audi model equipped as standard with an active rear differential.

It replaces the rear axle differential and the old multiple-disc clutch.

While the suspension benefits from further developments, an RS Plus version with adaptive damper control is available as an option.

To support the increase in performance, the braking system is fitted with larger six-piston calipers.
