According to the Observatory, according to current forecasts, the wind in the Pearl River Estuary will increase from tonight to tomorrow morning.

Depending on local wind changes, the Observatory will consider whether to issue the No. 3 strong wind signal from later this afternoon to tomorrow morning.


According to the Observatory's path information, Chapaka will then turn to a "C" and land on the Yangjiang City area on Wednesday (21st), but on Friday (23rd) after crossing Hainan Island, it will "go into the sea" again.

According to the forecast of the Macao Meteorological Bureau, the possible release period of Typhoon Signal No. 8 will be from early morning to morning tomorrow (20th), and the probability is low to medium.

According to the forecast of the observatory's path map, Chapaka will land in the area of ​​Yangjiang City tomorrow and gradually weaken into a tropical depression.

However, it is expected that the subsequent Fujiwara effect (double typhoon effect) will change drastically on Friday (23rd) and will go into the sea again after crossing Hainan Island.
