Tehran-Sana

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh announced that the date of the new round of Vienna negotiations will be after the new authority in Iran assumes its duties, stressing that his country's general policies will not change and that the process of reviving the nuclear agreement was delayed due to American stances.

Khatibzadeh reiterated, during a press conference today, that if America abides by its commitments contained in UN Resolution 2231 and returns to the nuclear agreement, Iran will return to its commitments after testing the sincerity of the American measure.

Regarding the proposal by some European countries of a three-stage project regarding the nuclear agreement, Khatibzadeh said, “Many projects may be proposed in this regard, but the clear criterion is the comprehensive and principled policy of the Islamic Republic’s system. “.

The Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Abbas Araqchi confirmed that his country is going through a transitional phase and that the parties to the Vienna negotiations should wait for the new administration of the country.

Regarding the details of the talks between Iran, America and Britain regarding the prisoner exchange and America’s denial of an agreement in this regard, Khatibzadeh explained that what the Americans announced about this is surprising. He said, “We held separate talks in Vienna from the nuclear agreement talks through mediators with America and Britain on this humanitarian issue, which is Prisoner exchange.

Iran had announced its readiness to implement the prisoner exchange agreement with America and Britain within the framework of the humanitarian agreement with the two sides to release ten prisoners from all sides.
