Despite all the adversities in the Corona school year: 68 Tegernsee high school students passed their Abitur.

They could now celebrate their graduation together.

Tegernsee

- The awarding of the Abitur certificates in the gym was perhaps not as glamorous as usual. But the joy of being able to celebrate this day together outweighed by far.

And the high school graduates from Tegernsee, their families and the staff at the grammar school definitely had reason to celebrate: 68 of the 69 Q12 students who started have their university entrance qualification in their pockets.

21 of them even with a one before the decimal point, two with the dream grade 1.0.

The total section in Tegernsee is 2.19.

High school graduates were tested across the board before exams

But statistics were wasted that afternoon.

What counted was the fact that you could complete your school career and the difficult Corona school year that has just passed together.

“Two months ago we had no idea whether and how this event could take place.

I am really pleased that it worked, ”explained headmaster Werner Oberholzer and thanked his high school graduates for having voluntarily tested themselves through the bank before taking the Abi exam.

That was not a matter of course.

Headmaster asks graduates: "Be critical, stay critical!"

"This is a year that you will surely not forget," he concluded, briefly looking back at face-to-face and online distance classes as well as the Abi preparation, which had mostly taken place alone from home instead of in the course community. “You learned completely different things in the two years. For example, you are now MSTeams-fit, ”said Oberholzner and urged his graduates to draw the positive from this time. It is a challenge to orientate oneself in the diversity of opinion. The director advised the graduates: “Be critical, stay critical. Questions the origin of the information. Don't believe things until you've checked them out. And don't believe everything that government agencies and authorities tell you. ”In summary, he advised thinking through instead of thinking outside the box. "But no matter what you do,tries to gain experience, take time for yourself and get to know yourself. Trying to grow ”, Oberholzner concluded his speech after he had also awarded the numerous scholarships, prizes and awards for special achievements in physics, mathematics, chemistry, technology, classical philology and other natural science subjects to applause.

Chairwoman of the Advisory Board pays tribute to parents' merit in homeschooling

After impressive musical and vocal performances by individual high school graduates, the chairman of the Parents' Council, Veronika Bauer, thanked the school management and the staff for making it through the Q12 through the Abitur.

Not without mentioning the parents' merit in homeschooling.

She advised the outgoing high school students: "Do something good and do it right - with heart and brain."

The high school graduates Luisa Rauscher, Luca Niedermaier and Markus Allgäuer, for their part, reviewed their entire school career at the Tegernsee Gymnasium in verse and including one or two tongue-in-cheek cross-references.

They also remembered their former classmate Leonhard Schweinberger, who had a fatal accident in the seventh grade and who would actually have graduated in that year: "Let me tell you, we will always think of you!"

Gifts to teachers, caretakers and the best cafeteria in Germany

Afterwards, the 68 young women and men each received their Abitur certificates with their personal "victory hymn" recorded.

Thunderstorms of flashlights, thanks and the handing over of gifts to teachers, caretakers and providers of “Germany's best cafeteria” followed to applause and cheers.
