A photo from 1927 proves that the people of Kinsau indulged in football very early on. This DJK (Deutsche Jugendkraft, a Catholic sports association) dissolved again during the Nazi era. But enthusiasm for the sport was aroused, and so the SV Kinsau was founded in 1946. 75 years later, the association has over 600 members, and this success story is to be celebrated on Saturday, July 24th, with an anniversary march.

Kinsau

- For a long time the football department and the club were identical.

It was not until 1969 that the female gender came on the scene to do sports as well, and so the women's gymnastics division was founded.

Today, eight fixed groups belong to this department, from children's gymnastics to various dance groups, Nordic walking and running clubs to senior gymnastics.

The club received a third pillar in 1970 with the establishment of the ice stock division.

In cold winters, when the reservoir near Kinsau was frozen over, the people of Kinsau had been playing curling for many years, and with the establishment of the division it was now possible to take part in tournaments and competitions.

Another milestone in the history of SV Kinsau was the creation of the beautiful sports grounds in 1974 and 1975 with two soccer fields, initially three tennis courts, ten ice stock rinks and the construction of the sports center.

Even today, the people of Kinsau are envied by many neighboring clubs for these beautiful sports facilities right on the Lech.

Tennis used to be considered an elite sport for the upper class, but with the opportunities at the new sports grounds, a tennis division was founded in Kinsau in February 1975.

Some horse enthusiasts also gathered in December 1980 and founded the riding division at SV Kinsau.

The highlight for the division is the annual trail ride, where over 200 horses and their riders regularly take to the start.

It all started with football at SV Kinsau, and the first team is still the club's figurehead today.

The kickers have experienced ups and downs, and the team has been able to assert itself in the district class since 2016.

Football also creates friendships, which is expressed in Kinsau by the 50-year association with the Weißenohe game association (we have reported several times).

Young footballers are also given intensive support.

The Kinsau and Apfeldorf sports clubs have been working together in youth work since 2008, and around 75 children are trained in six teams today.

If there are no major events this year, SV Kinsau would at least like to draw attention to the 75-year history that can be purchased at the anniversary march with a beautiful commemorative publication.

The anniversary march

starts this Saturday at 1 p.m., start and finish is at the sports grounds in Kinsau.
