In a rear-end collision with five vehicles involved in Ismaning, three people were injured.

The cause of the momentous collision was, according to the police, a backlog on the main road.

Ismaning - According to this, a 26-year-old from the Munich district drove his BMW on the B 471 in the direction of Ismaning at around 5 p.m. on Monday.

Because a backwater had formed on the main road, a Ford driver (37) from Munich driving in front of him braked.

The 26-year-old noticed this too late and hit the rear of the Ford with his car.

The impact was so severe that the Ford was pushed onto a vehicle that was standing in a traffic jam in front of it, which in turn damaged another vehicle in front of it.

A fifth vehicle was also affected.

Damaged were: a Hyundai from a 53-year-old from the Erding district, a VW from a 34-year-old, also from the Erding district, and the Mercedes Sprinter from a 52-year-old from Munich.

The 26-year-old, the 37-year-old and the 34-year-old were slightly injured in the collision and were brought to Munich hospitals by the ambulance service.

While the accident was being recorded, the federal highway was closed in one lane for about two hours.

According to the police, the total damage incurred is in the lower five-digit range.

There were slight traffic delays.
