The 160 workers at the local Ben & Jerry's factory located in Beer Tuvia called today (Tuesday) not to boycott the company's products in Israel, after he said the global company announced that it would stop selling its products in the settlements.

"This is a misunderstanding," say the workers, who fear that their livelihoods will be harmed.

Idan Felti, the manager of the factory's store and events, believes that this is the time to actually strengthen the factory and the Israeli franchisee - who is consistently opposed to the company's claim not to market the ice creams in Judea and Samaria.

"The factory is in Beer Tuvia, there are workers from all over the south and also from the Gaza Strip, there is no reason to boycott us. The milk from dairies in the Gaza Strip, the products from Israel, everything is blue and white, if they boycott it will hurt our workers and managers."

Felti, a resident of Sderot and a father of three, added: "We just want to make a living. We are the Israeli franchisee, supplying the whole country, including Ariel, we are not boycotting anywhere. Our owner also opposes any boycott."

Avi Singer, the owner and CEO of the company, said that “anyone who talks about a boycott against us does not understand the situation.

160 employees in the south, we take blue and white products.

We have been here for 35 years, and because of pressure that the global company succumbed to, they demanded that they stop marketing.

The BDS is fighting against the State of Israel, they surrendered and we got caught as a tool.

"" It should be a struggle of all of us and needs to strengthen us.

There is another year and a half until the end of the franchise and we will continue to market as we have done until now.

I hope there will be great pressure from the public and the government, and this decision will be overturned.

It's not just our war in the factory, the government needs to support us, "Singer concluded.

After yesterday, both the coalition and the opposition called for a boycott of Ben & Jerry's products with the company's announcement against a sale in Judea and Samaria - during the day the ministers and MKs softened their minds, when it was claimed that the move would harm the Israeli franchise and its employees.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked is expected to visit the factory tomorrow morning "to express sympathy and support with the local franchisee and protest the global company's decision to stop selling its products beyond the Green Line."

Bennett said he would act against the company following the move.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett spoke with Alan Joop, CEO of Unilever Global, which owns Ben & Jerry's, and opposed its decision to stop selling "in the Occupied Palestinian Territories," according to the statement. He "takes very seriously the decision to boycott Israel," adding that this is a "clear anti-Israel move."

Bennett further emphasized in the conversation that Israel will act against society following the unusual move. "And it will act vigorously against any act of boycott directed against its citizens," Bennett said.
