Participants in the 41st International Flower Show found an opportunity to display their products in search of new customers, exchange experiences with professionals to develop them, and a space to learn about new things in the world of plants and flowers.

SANA monitored the opinions of the participants in the exhibition organized by the Ministry of Tourism in cooperation with Damascus Governorate in Tishreen Park, where Muhammad Al-Aswad, owner of a nursery in Hama Governorate, stated that the exhibition allows him to present new products to those interested and exchange ideas and experiences among the participants to develop them, as well as an opportunity to conclude deals with new producers and communicate With those wishing to plant their gardens, pointing out that Hama Governorate is famous for its pyramidal and spherical thuja plants, medicinal herbs and annuals.

The head of producers of nurseries and flowers and the owner of the nursery, the agricultural engineer, Muhammad Al-Shabani, saw that holding the exhibition is a new evidence of Syria’s recovery, and it is an opportunity to promote the desired national products in neighboring countries and increase export markets, noting that what is new for them this year is the presentation of the stevia plant, a herbal plant used in treatments and alternative medicine and is very popular. In the market.

From the village of Al-Marah in the countryside of Damascus, the Al-Marah Association for the revival and development of the Damascene Rose is participating as an activity that it has been keen on since 2001, according to Madin Bitar, to display Damascene rose products from jams, juices, flowers and cosmetic creams made from natural materials.

In the pavilion of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Engineer Omar Zureik stated that the ministry is participating in the exhibition to deliver messages to visitors about the importance of preserving trees, forests and flowers, especially after the damage they sustained as a result of fires last year, as well as displaying fruitful and forest trees, the Damascene rose and some species produced by the ministry in coordination with Center for Agricultural Scientific Research such as apples, avocados, oranges and olives with improved varieties, in addition to samples of fish fingerlings.

Zureik indicated that the ministry focused this year on trees produced in the coastal environment such as fir and laurel, herbal plants such as rosemary and medicinal plants such as lavender and seedlings produced by nurseries at an encouraging price.

The exhibition will continue until the 3rd of next August under the slogan “Sham Jasmine Blooms Again” and includes 50 pavilions and 11 green areas displaying a group of flowers and ornamental plants and some industries complementary to the manufacture of flowers and landscaping. The exhibition is accompanied by a group of cultural and artistic events, activities for children, art concerts and an open air cinema. .
