The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the terrorist bombing that targeted Iraq's Sadr City yesterday, expressing Iran's readiness to cooperate with Iraq in confronting terrorism.
"These atrocities come in the context of the sinister terrorist scenario against Iraq, which affected the Iraqi people," Foreign Ministry spokesman Eid Khatibzadeh was quoted by IRNA as saying, stressing Tehran's readiness to cooperate with Baghdad in the context of combating terrorist moves targeting this country.
Yesterday, a terrorist detonated an explosive device targeting a popular market in Sadr City, east of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, killing 27 people, including a child, and wounding 45 others.
