The Israeli army fired Tuesday morning in the direction of Lebanon in response to rocket fire in its territory, according to an army statement.

Two rockets were fired from Lebanon into Israeli territory ... In retaliation, Israeli artillery fired into Lebanese territory,
" the army said in a statement.
One of the rockets was intercepted by the Iron Dome anti-missile system and one fell in empty land, the IDF said.
The last rocket fire at Israel from Lebanon came in May, as Israel waged a war against the Islamist movement Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
