Jazz has a name in Freising: Julia Schröter.
The singer and her band enchanted the audience at the summer wonder.

- Jazz is female in Freising and has a name: Julia Schröter.
With her most recent concert at the Freising Summer Wonder, she not only thrilled the sold-out district court garden, but also catapulted herself to the top of the district's jazz voices.
No question about it: this woman needs big stages!
The district court garden was almost bursting at the seams
Once again it was a jazz concert that made the district court garden almost burst at the seams - despite the cloudy sky and the time.
And it was immediately clear that their band harmonized perfectly and had long since inhaled the blue note.
The "Feeling in my Stomach", a song of its own, shone brightly and in the best jazz colors with swing elements.
Schröter's vocal performance with excellently timed phrasing with every song is fascinating anew.

The singer benefits from big stages, because that's where her charismatic charisma comes into its own.
Longingly and in dialogue with the saxophone, “Sophisticated Lady” also caused persistent applause.
Dense, atmospheric and with its own verve, the band brought this very special sound to the stage, which had less of a matinee than an evening concert.
"What a voice"
Julia Schröter's jazz interpretations glimmer mainly through a modernized heartbeat, which, however, always has reference values to the origins. In doing so, she succeeds in building a bridge that is innovative as well as inspiring and that significantly strengthens Freising as a venue for jazz musicians. The charming and skilful mix of styles in particular makes Schröter appeal to a wide audience, who expressed their enthusiasm with thunderous applause. Because rarely has the cathedral city heard a nicer version of “The Man I Love” based on an arrangement by Ella Fitzgerald, and rarely has a title been better suited to Sunday lunchtime than “Black Coffee”.
Of course, this is also thanks to a virtuoso band: Stephan Weiser on piano, Heiko Jung on bass, Matthias Huber on saxophone and flute and the all-rounder Stephan Treutter on drums.
The Schröter concert in the district court garden was an absolute highlight of this year's summer wonder season and the singer's performance was memorable.
Here is an artist from Freising who loves and lives her jazz and has become a musical figurehead for the city.
“What a voice,” said a spectator in amazement during the break.
What can you say: he's right!
